Research

My first step in approaching this task is to investigate, and carry out detailed research into magazines in the UK. As well as looking at magazines as a product, I also want to research ‘behind the scenes’ and look at popular publishers and the style that journalists write in. I am also going to look at what target audience is best to aim my magazine at, and what style of music to focus on.

I want to create a well-liked, diverse magazine, that will stand out from amongst others. Therefore I want to research and see if there is a ‘gap’ in the market. To be able to make my magazine orginial I will have to research the following:

• Current Popular Artists

•Current Music Genres

•Popular Music Magazines


After doing this I will then analyse aspects of current music magazines such as the front cover, the contents page and a double spread.
